Approval rules

Configure approval rules at the organization level to enforce approval for Deployment creation and/or updates at the Workspace level.

Managing approval rules

Creating an approval rule

To create an approval rule:

  1. Navigate to the approval rules page
  2. Click + New Rule
  3. Select the Workspace to apply the rule to
  4. Specify the number of owners, operators, and reviewers required for approval
  5. Select the scope: new Deployments, Deployment updates, or both
  6. Click Save to create the rule

Updating an approval rule

To modify an existing approval rule:

  1. Navigate to the approval rules page
  2. Click options on the right of your chosen approval rule
  3. Click edit on the dropdown
  4. Update the scope and number of required approvers
  5. Click Save to apply your modifications

Deleting an approval rule

To delete an existing approval rule:

  1. Navigate to the approval rules page
  2. Click options on the right of your chosen approval rule
  3. Click delete on the dropdown
  4. Confirm to delete

You can have separate rules for new Deployments and updating Deployments on a single Workspace. However, only one rule can exist for each action (new Deployment or update Deployment) per Workspace.
